"Startup definition (As defined in Jharkhand Startup Policy) (only for the purpose of Government schemes)
Startup means an entity, incorporated or registered in Jharkhand
Provided that such entity is not formed by splitting up, or reconstruction, of a business already in existence. Provided further that a Startup shall be eligible for tax benefits only after it has obtained certification from the Inter-Ministerial Board, setup for such purpose.
The entity accredited/certified as a Startup by Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Government of India, shall be considered as an eligible Startup for availing benefits under this policy only if the Startup starts one or more of its business operations/ production facility in Jharkhand. Provided that a startup shall be eligible for tax benefits only after it has obtained certification from the “State Evaluation Board”, setup for such purpose.

Yes. On successful registration, you would get an acknowledgement over email. Once your idea is selected by State Evaluation Board, you will be able to download a system generated verifiable certificate of recognition.
It is advised that only one mobile number of the authorized representative of the entity is provided at the time of registration. The mobile number provided will be used for all the communications and messages.
State Evaluation Board (SEB) would comprise of members from Government, ABVIL, experts from industry, academia, private incubators and VC firms operating in the State. This Board will be the final decision making authority for selection of the ideas/ concepts (or start-ups for support). The State Evaluation Board shall select the ideas/concepts based on pre-defined criteria and their decision will be final.

If the application of the Startup Applicant has been rejected, he/she may edit his/her application by Logging in through www.JharkhandInnovationLab.org and upload the updated documents.

After a patent application is received by the Patent Office, the facilitator shall submit the claim for fees as per the fee schedule given in SIPP Scheme. As per Jharkhand startup policy 2016, clause no. 2.4.5. A startup will cease to receive benefits under this policy upon reaching turnover of INR 25 crores or 5 Years from its date of incorporation/registration,whichever is earlier.
